Q: ARE YOUR PACKAGES CUSTOMIZABLE?
A: Yes! You can add hours as needed. Typically, I have a 2nd photographer but in some cases with very small weddings I’ll allow removal of the second photographer from your package. This is on a case by case basis.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR RATES AND AVAILABILITY?
A: In order to provide the best experience possible, I only commit to working with a limited number of couples each year. On average, couples spend between 4,500 and 7,000 USD, depending on the duration and destination of the wedding. Please click here to receive a detailed investment guide.
Q: HOW DO WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
A: Once you decided to work with me, my studio policy to retain the date for my services is a $1,000 retainer payment at the time of signing an agreement. There will be 3 more equal payments of 25% each; spaced out equally between the contract signing date and a month before the wedding date. All fees are due no less than 30 days prior to the wedding
Q: WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
A: I’m a hybrid photographer photographer which means I shoot film and digital. For my film work, I use 2 Mamiya AF medium format cameras, 80 mm f/1.9 lenses, and a 45mm f/2.8 lens. For my digital work, I shoot with professional Nikon camera bodies & professional grade lenses. While I absolutely love the look and feel of medium format film, there are definitely times that call for the speed and low-light capabilities of digital photography. All of my digital images are carefully edited to match the look of my film images.
Q: DO YOU HAVE BACKUP EQUIPMENT?
A: Yes, absolutely. Equipment failures can happen so I always make sure to have backup gear on hand to continue documenting your day.
Q: SHOULD WE DO AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION?
A: I think engagement sessions are a really important aspect of working together. You get to see how I work behind the camera and I gain a better understanding of the two of you and your relationship. So many couples tell me that their engagement session was a great way to prep for wedding day photos.
Q: WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
A: You really can’t go wrong with soft neutral tones. They look absolutely beautiful on camera and will stand the test of time. I would recommend avoiding bold and busy patterns. Ultimately, I’d like you to feel comfortable and happy with your outfits so please feel free to contact me prior to your session and we can discuss details. Don’t worry, I have a outfit inspiration guide I can share with you as well.
Q: HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?
A: I believe in quality over quantity so rest assured you’ll recieve the best of the best. I typically produce 60-80 images per hour of photography coverage.
Q: TURNAROUND TIME AND IMAGE RIGHTS?
A: Images are typically delivered within four-six weeks but I do my best to get them to you sooner if possible. Portrait sessions take around two weeks. Along with your images, you will receive a print release form which grants you rights to use and print the images as you wish for personal use.
Q: DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
A: Definitely. I am currently based in Scottsdale, AZ but I love to travel and will travel anywhere in the world to capture your day. I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph weddings from California to New York, the Caribbean and so many beautiful places in between.
